Three Six Six

Tonight we are lucky enough to be invited to sample the extensive cocktail list at Three Six Six in Battersea: the cocktail bar that is known for experimental cocktails. Can you imagine my excitement, DateNight_LDN is hitting the town for the first time!

The atmosphere is instantly relaxing when we arrive, maybe it’s the music, maybe it’s the lighting or maybe it's the lovely staff but something about the place makes me leave the world behind. We are pleasantly surprised at the prices too, it’s not often you can get a double gin for under £10 around here – we were off to a good start.

For our first round of drinks we order from the Fantasy and Fetish menu, a menu that is constantly rotated and has a combination for everyone on it. I order The Black Hole & Theory of Everything and it came with edible ash and some very alcoholic jelly (winning!!)

The drink of the night came in round two, Svetlana chose for us this time and she did not disappoint, we were presented with A Fox Plug (almost as naughty as it sounds!) and A Balsamic Sea. Both, oh so random but both oh so great. The Fox Plug had ketchup infused banana liquor in it and the Balsamic Sea had balsamic pearls served in an oyster shell - I mean if that isn't experimental then I don't know what is!

The food menu boasts a selection of great cheeses and great meats, simple but ideal food to have on a casual date with cocktails.

This place is certainly worth a visit, even if just for the wallpaper in the men's toilets (I will leave you to discover that!) Come for the cocktails, stay for the atmosphere.

His Opinion: ‘Relaxed chatty atmosphere and really good value for money’ (oooo maybe he is paying!)
Her Opinion: ‘Instantly felt at ease, the cocktails were exciting and shouldn't work - but they do, they really do! The staff are attentive but not overbearing and the food was great.’
Drink Recommendation: The Fox Plug was sweet and delicious.
Upcoming Events: Valentines Weekend is a big one for Three Six Six and rumour has it the cocktails will be even cheaper!
Location: We went to the Battersea branch but there is one in Earlsfield - two great options!
